摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the accurate position of a moving object, by determining an altitude computed value based on the results indicating the current position and an altitude of map information while the altitude computed value is updated sequentially. CONSTITUTION:There and more satellite radio waves are received with a receiver A and a distance from each satellite is measured by a first computing means B. On the other hand, an altitude computed value setting means D inputs an initial value into a second computing means E from an initial value setting means d1 to determine the current position of a moving object along with the distance from each satellite determined by the means B. The current position of the moving body is inputted into an altitude computed value updating means d2 and compared with map information from a map information memory means C to determine an altitude computed value on a map at the current position. Then, the results are sent to a means E to update the initial value and the altitude computed value already inputted and based on the altitude computed value thus updated and the distance to the satellite, the current position of the moving body is determined to display the position of the moving object on the map. This enables the determination of the current position of the moving object with the compensation thereof by altitude information on the map being sequentially updated thereby enabling highly accurate measurement of the current position.
