<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedaling force characteristic control device capable of satisfactorily maintaining a pedal operating feeling. <P>SOLUTION: This pedaling force characteristic control device controls the pedaling force characteristics of an accelerator pedal connected to a throttle actuator without using a mechanical link structure and a brake pedal connected to a brake actuator without using a mechanical link structure. The control device comprises an accelerator pedal opening sensor 20 for detecting the opening of the accelerator pedal to control the characteristics of the accelerator pedal, a target accelerator pedal pedaling force calculation part 50 for calculating the control amount of an accelerator pedal electric motor by using an accelerator pedal pedaling force characteristic model using the opening of the accelerator pedal as an input so that pre-set target accelerator pedal pedaling force characteristics can be provided, and an accelerator pedal electric motor control part 32 for controlling the accelerator pedal electric motor 16 according to the control amount of the accelerator pedal electric motor.
