WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEX TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of fabricating a wavelength multiplex transmission device, which prevents inclination of a wavelength multiplex transmission filter in the case of thermal change and avoids an increase in reflection loss and insertion loss. SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: attaching first and second gradient index (GRIN) lenses to opposite faces of a wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) filter; attaching two glass tubes into two inner metallic tubes; attaching a dual fiber pigtail and a single fiber pigtail to the two glass tubes by an adhesive; arranging the second lens in the glass tube with the dual fiber pigtail; attaching the second lens to the glass tube by an adhesive; arranging the first lens in the glass tube with the single fiber pigtail; and attaching the first lens to the glass tube by an adhesive.
