PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device whose display quality can be enhanced by avoiding the generation of a series unevenness in the display of a liquid crystal panel in a liquid crystal display device in which an input picture signal is phase-developed. SOLUTION: In this liquid crystal display device, an input picture signal Vin is made to be a display signal VID having a form suitable to be outputted to a liquid crystal display panel 5 by performing various signal processing to the input picture signal Vin by the signal processing system 1 of a single system consisting of a gamma correction circuit 2, an amplifier circuit 3 and a polarity changeover circuit 4. Then, the display signal VID is phase-developed in a phase developing circuit 6 and the signal is outputted to 6 lines of parallel signal lines L1 to L6 as phase-developed signals VID1 to VID6. Thus, the series unevenness of a display picture is reduced by avoiding a series error from occurring, when the display signal which is to be outputted to the liquid crystal panel 5 is passed through plural series of signal processing series.
