LCD MODULE IDENTIFICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a circuit and a method for an effective means to customize the display driver software of any type of an LCD-display and any type of an LCD-driver chip used in an LCD display system. SOLUTION: This is accomplished through an identification and registration method of the information relevant to the software customerization by storing the information in an LCD module identification register 8. A microprocessor 4 controlling the LCD display system 2 reads the identification register and supplys the software customerization elements specific to the LCD-driver chip 3 and the LCD-module 1 during the initialization of the system.
