PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen a heating nip without increasing a contact pressure between a fixing roller and a heater by using a plurality of sheet type heaters and to pool more offset toner into the heaters. SOLUTION: The thermal fixing device has: the fixing roller having an elastic layer, the heaters which heat the fixing roller from its external surface, and a pressure member which forms a fixing nip in pressure contact with the fixing roller.
