PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material suitable for rapid processing, ensuring rapid progress of development even in digital exposure such as laser scanning exposure and providing a high contrast tone and to provide an image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: In the silver halide color photographic sensitive material, the silver chloride content Cl(B) mol%, silver bromide content Br(B) mol% and silver iodide content I(B) mol% of a silver halide emulsion contained in a yellow developing blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the silver chloride content Cl(G) mol%, silver bromide content Br(G) mol% and silver iodide content I(G) mol% of a silver halide emulsion contained in a magenta developing green- sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, and the silver chloride content Cl(R) mol%, silver bromide content Br(R) mol% and silver iodide content I(R) mol% of a silver halide emulsion contained in a cyan developing red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer are defined to a respective specified range.
