PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device and a light guide body which can be reduced in size and weight, and to provide electronic equipment using them. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device 100 has a liquid crystal panel 110 and a supporting member 120. A liquid crystal driving IC 115 and chip part 116 are mounted on a projection part 111T of the substrate of the liquid crystal panel 110. On a counter projection part 122, the supporting member 120 is provided with a recessed housing part 122a for housing the above liquid crystal driving IC 115, and a recessed housing part 122b for housing the above chip part 116.
