PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems existing thus far in construction to attach plates having optical characteristics; the vexatious complication of labor, the existence of a possibility to the occurrence of errors in attachment in some cases, the impairment of the transmittivity of light by intrusion of dust, unclean water, etc., through the clearances of the mating faces of the plates and the easy tendency of the optical plates to cracking. SOLUTION: The two optical plates are mated in such a manner that the surfaces having the optical characteristics face each other. The peripheries thereof are then stuck together to make the inner side airtight. The mistake in the attachment can be prevented by previously setting the two plates and the impairment of the transmittivity of the light by the intrusion of the dust, unclean water, etc,. can be prevented by forming the plates airtight. Further, the composite plate of the higher strength can be obtained by superposing the plates on each other and sticking together their peripheries. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
