PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device improved in safety, and directly and surely preventing the harmful continuous injection in failure. SOLUTION: This injection device comprises an injection nozzle 42, an intensifier 12 for intensifying a primary pressure, and a first valve device 32 for controlling the intensifier, and the intensifier 12 is kept in an operating condition in a first condition of the first valve device 32, and a non-operating condition in a second condition of the first valve device 32, and further a breakthrough amount limiting device for the injection nozzle 42 is mounted. The valve device 32 is controllable by a control device 70 to interrupt the connection of the flow to the injection nozzle 42, in relation to a sensor signal S reproducing the error injection.
