PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Stirling engine with suppressed distortion of a cylinder. SOLUTION: A laminated core 5 that is an internal yoke of a linear motor arranged around the cylinder 4 is fixed to the cylinder 4 by a spiral ring 11. The spiral ring 11 is spirally formed with a predetermined width. In a circumferential face of the cylinder 4, a groove 4a for fitting in the spiral ring 11 is formed throughout a whole circumference. By diametrally widening the spiral ring 11, the cylinder 4 is inserted through the spiral ring 11, and the spiral ring 11 is fit in the groove 4a of the cylinder 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
