PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of automatically folding paper while considering various conditions to arbitrary paper size. SOLUTION: A copying machine 1 comprises a means for cutting a roll paper 2 according to information of a document length size, a means for selecting a roll paper stage having corresponding width according to information of document width size, and a means for transferring an image on the roll paper. In this paper folding device, the copying machine 1 and a paper folding device 4 folding the roll paper from the copying machine 1 are connected by a serial cable 5, thereby folding the roll paper 2 from the copying machine 1 by the paper folding device 4. The copying machine 1 is provided with a CPU 7 and a memory 8 storing and registering control conditions for folding paper such as image paper size, a paper folding method, a binding margin, folding width, the presence or absence of a stamp, and a stamp position. The paper folding device 4 is provided with a CPU 12 actuated in a paper folding mode by a signal of the paper folding mode condition set by the copying machine 1, and controlling to fold the paper.
