<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitumor agent containing a D-amino acidoxidase bonded with a polymer having a highly accumulating property to a tumor as a main component and exhibiting the antitumor activity by hydrogen peroxide (H<SB>2</SB>O<SB>2</SB>) generated by administering a substrate (D-amino acid) of the enzyme, as an active effective ingredient. <P>SOLUTION: This antitumor agent is provided with a set of (A) the D-amino acidoxidase bonded with the synthetic polymer administered in advance and (B) the D-amino acid as the substrate administered afterwards. By administering the D-amino acid that does not exist in a living body originally and does not exhibit any harm, it is possible to achieve an antitumor activity. Also, as compared with a bonded material of xanthinoxidase with a PEG or SMA, the agent is excellent in stability, and is easily available, inexpensive, and practically useful. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
