摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that light leakage increases in the absence of voltage impression from the peripheries of projections and that the degradation in the contrast being the difference from the white display during voltage impression is resulted.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device with projections for split alignment of liquid crystals formed therein, is characterized in that the glass transition temperature of the resin composing the projections for the split alignment of the liquid crystals is ≤150°C and that the resin consists mainly of a polyimide resin.
