PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter having excellent dispersibility of pigments, giving good contrast ratio, scarcely causing absorbance of light by polyimide and offering stable patterns when developing.

SOLUTION: The composition of pigment-dispersed thermosetting resin solution comprises a pigment and an alicyclic polyamic acid having an imidization degree in the range of 20-60%.
