POROUS BUILDING MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous building material combinedly having thinness and strength and furthermore having beauty, and a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The porous building material 2 is a plate shape molding which contains an aggregate comprising a crushed stone or a fine stone and whose thickness is 2.5-15 mm, whose specific strength by steel ball dropping is 2-50 and whose apparent specific gravity is 1.2-2.2. The aggregate particles which constitute the aggregate are adhered to each other by a resin adhering agent and whose mean particle diameter is 0.5-6 mm and the content of the resin adhering agent per the aggregate is 3-15 wt.%. The method for producing the porous building material 2 comprises a step to heat a mixture of the aggregate with the resin adhereing agent with pressure while the mixture is sandwiched between a pair of pressurized faces and a fixed distance between the faces is kept.
