PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive belt which is high in dimensional stability and bending characteristics, excellent in its power transmission capability, hardly jumps and meets a request for space saving. SOLUTION: The drive belt like a toothed belt 1 comprises a plurality of teeth 2 along the longitudinal direction of the belt and a shoulder part 4 on which core wires 3 as reinforcing core bodies are spirally buried on the belt pitch line of a belt main body. The belt main body is composed of, for instance, an elastomer such as an urethane component. The core wire 3 is a twist cord in which a total fineness of polyallylate fiber filaments is 100 to 250 dtex and a belt modulus is 50 to 100 N/mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
