PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable wind-up device capable of preventing a breakage between stored cable and a plug, and preventing a breakage of the cable itself. SOLUTION: The cable wind-up device 1 comprises a box-shaped case 2, a reel 3, a cable 4, and a stopper mechanism 6. The reel 3 is rotatably provided. The cable 4 is wound around the reel 3 so as to enable freely taking out/putting one end portion 4a from/in the case 2. The stopper mechanism 6 comprises a first gear wheel 31, a second gear wheel 32, a first protrusion 33, and a second protrusion 34. The first gear wheel 31 is integrally formed on the case 2. The second gear wheel 32 is rotatably supported by the reel 3, and meshed with the first gear wheel 31. The first protrusion 33 is projected from the reel 3, and the second protrusion 34 is projected from the second gear wheel 32. When the protrusions 33, 34 are contacted with each other, the reel 3 is regulated to rotate in a direction winding up the cable 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
