PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding method eliminating untwilled thread at the time of winding false-twisting string, and obtaining the false-twisting string having excellent reeling property. SOLUTION: In the winding method winding while changing winding width within a fixed period by a simultaneously starting/stopping drawing false- twisting machine, if assuming that a difference between the maximum width Xa and a minimum width Xb of the winding width within the fixed period is breaking Lx, the breaking amount Lx is gradually increased between a winding start and a winding end, and the shape of change in traverse width within the fixed period has a similar figure between shapes within any fixed period.
