<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small diameter, commercially excellent camera for a well allowing to pass through clearances between the inner peripheral wall of the well and the pipes inside the well. <P>SOLUTION: This camera device for the well is used to visually investigate the inside of the well 1. The device comprises a camera device 2 having a camera part 5 for catching an image installed thereon, a moving device 3 for moving the camera device 2 in the well 1, and a monitor 4 for displaying images captured by the camera device 2. The viewing direction of the camera part 5 is set in the longitudinal direction of the well 1, and a mirror part 6 is installed in the viewing direction of the camera part 5.
