PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display liquid for an electrophoretic display device, which display liquid hardly gives rise to flocculation and provides a good contrast and stability. SOLUTION: The display liquid for the electrophoretic display device includes electrified particulates and a dispersion solvent, in which the electrified particulates are the particulates formed by thermal kneading of a coloring agent and a resin. The ratio of the minor axis and major axis of the electrified particulates is 1:1.2 to 1:50 and at least one kind of the electrified particulates include ionomers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
