PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fireproofing structure of excellent workability, suppressing the occurrence and progress of smoke. SOLUTION: The periphery of a wooden column member 3 is covered with a thermally expansive fireproofing material 2 to constitute a fireproof column member 1. The wooden column member 3 is formed of square wood of 30 cm×30 cm, and the fireproofing material 2 is thermally expansive with flexibility and has a thickness of about 3 mm or about 1.5 mm. The fireproofing material 2 contains a phosphorus compound, thermally expansive graphite, and an inorganic filler in a resin component mainly containing epoxy resin. A joint part 7 which is the butting part of the fireproofing materials 2, 2 is fastened with fasteners 6 such as tackers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
