NEW ANTI-OXIDANT AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING OXIDATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new anti-oxidant constituted by the simultaneous use of an N-oxyl compound and a reducing agent and having an extremely high oxidation-suppressing effect as compared with that of a single anti-oxidant, a method for preventing oxidation and further, a new method for preventing oxidation under a low oxygen concentration atmosphere. SOLUTION: This anti-oxidant consists of the N-oxyl compound and the reducing agent, and the method for preventing an object from oxidation is characterized by using the N-oxyl compound and the reducing agent for the object.
