PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester resin composition that can form thermoplastic polyester moldings, hollow articles, films, and preliminary moldings for these articles, excellent in heat resistance, gas barrier properties, transparency, and mechanical characteristics, in addition, extremely low in the content of AA (acetaldehyde). SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition comprises (A) an aromatic polyester that bears recurring units mainly composed of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component and (B) mica mineral and has an oxygen permeability of≤0.9 cc.mm/m<SP>2</SP>.day.atm and an acetaldehyde content of≤40 ppm.
