PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial glass having a sufficient eluting amount (eluting speed) of Ag ions, an unchanged antimicrobial effect, and an excellent cohesion preventive effect, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the antimicrobial glass capable of eluting Ag ions and the method for manufacturing the same, an inorganic compound with an average particle diameter of≥0.1μm, e.g. at least one inorganic compound selected from the group consisting of tricalcium phosphate, sodium stearate, calcium stearate, zeolite, natural apatite, and zinc white, is added and mixed as a cohesion preventing agent by 0.1-30 wt.% vs. the total amount.
