The lock, and especially a double-wheel lock for a joint rod assembly (13a-13c), has a lock body (11) and a plug (15) to be locked to it. The lock body has a cylinder, a bolt (35) coupled to it and a plug holder (27), to take the inserted plug. The cylinder and the plug in the holder lie along a common lock longitudinal axis (67). The bolt can be moved selectively between a locked and a released position. In the locked setting, the locking sections (41,57) of the bolt and the plug lie together on a flat, on a plane at right angles to the longitudinal axis.
