The sorting conveyor consists selectable delivery units, a recovery unit and carriers endlessly pivot-connected one after the other and equipped with a rotatably mounted tray. The plant also has delivery mechanisms, each having an unlocking runner (41) and a release roller (42) which are coupled by a plate and which execute a pivoting movement around pivot points which form a rotational axis parallel to the transporting direction. Unlocking flaps have a pivot point and by the unlocking runner and release rollers can be moved downwards.
