<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing image formation of high quality by surely insulating the high temperature of a heater with a simple, energy saving, quiet and inexpensive structure and by easily setting the internal temperature of a device body to a suitable temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus consists of an image forming means 1 for forming an image by transferring a toner image to a transferred body (P); a heating unit 2 which radiates heat when an image is formed by the image forming means 1; and an air curtain forming means 6 for forming a band-like air curtain 5 through which gas is allowed to flow from one side face 0b out of the front and back of the device main body 0a between a heat emitting space 3 in which the heating unit 2 is arranged and image forming space 4 in which the image forming means 1 is arranged to the other opposite side 0c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
