PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber with a lens which is improved in the coupling efficiency to the exit light from a light source, such as a high-output LD, is less changed in the coupling efficiency by the accuracy of the radius of curvature of the lens, and is suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: The optical fiber 1 with the lens has the lens consisting of a wedge shape composed of two inclined planes 2 formed symmetrically with a central axis 12 of a core 10 at its front end, in which the angle 2θformed by the two inclined planes 2 is 50 to 110°.
