PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof device for an industrial machine which can effectively reduce a noise produced from an industrial machine, highly radiates heat and does not absorb moisture. SOLUTION: The soundproof device for industrial machine is formed by sticking together a damping sheet 1 consisting of an organic polymeric material of≥1.5 in the peak value of a loss tangent (tanδ) to one side of the inside or outside surface of a casing 4 of the industrial machine and sticking together a restraining member 2 of≥1 GPa in a modulus of longitudinal elasticity to the other surface of the sheet 1. The preferable organic polymeric material consists of a chlorine polymeric material of a chlorine content 20 to 70 wt.% and a mixture composed of first chlorinated paraffin of 12-16C and chlorine content 30 to 70 wt.% and second chlorinated paraffin of 20-50C and chlorine content 30 to 70 wt.%.
