PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a display panel capable of reducing the power consumption at the time of a process for writing pixel data in the display panel. SOLUTION: This driving device applies a resonance pulse power source- potential having a prescribed resonance amplitude onto a power source line and also generates a pixel data pulse by selectively connecting the column electrode and the power source line corresponding to pixel data. At this time, when the middle potential of the resonance amplitude of the resonance pulse power source-potential becomes larger than a prescribed reference potential, the driving device forcibly grounds the power source line in a period when the resonance pulse power source-potential is lowered.
