PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device that prevents overheat of intake air and occurrence of noise. SOLUTION: The intake device 10 mounted to a cylinder head 4 of an engine 2, comprises: a air cleaner part 12 having a cleaner element 18 eliminating foreign matters in intake air passing therein; a capacity part 30 disposed between the air cleaner part 12 and the cylinder head 4, and forming a capacitor chamber 34 that can contain air therein; and an exchanging means exchanging air contained in the capacity chamber 34 with air introduced from the outside of the intake air device 10. The exchanging means has: an inlet port 38 introducing the air into the capacity chamber 34; an outlet port 46 guiding the air from the capacity chamber 34 to the outside of the intake device 10; a communicating hole 56 guiding, to a housing chamber 20, air that has been introduced from the inlet port 38 to the capacity chamber 34 and has passed through the capacity chamber 34; an inlet port opening/closing valve 44 for opening and closing respective opening of the inlet port 38, an outlet port 46, and communicating port 56; an outlet port opening/closing valve 52; and a communicating port opening/closing valve 58.
