<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement steam-reforming without lowering efficiency of an engine, even under an operating condition where a temperature of exhaust gas becomes low, in a fuel reforming apparatus whose heat source is the exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel reforming device body is formed in a tubular shape which surrounds an exhaust pipe 18, and a tubular hydrogen separating film 22 is disposed in the body to be coaxial with the body so that the hydrogen separating film 22 partitions the internal of the body into an outside chamber and an inside chamber. A fuel passage 23 formed as the inside chamber is filled with reforming catalyst, and raw fuel (gasoline) and water are supplied to the passage. In the reformed gas, hydrogen gas that has passed through the hydrogen separating film 22 is supplied to the engine 1 or a fuel cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
