PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for injection of an internal combustion engine completely compensating all factors causing a difference between a nominal fuel quantity and an actually injected fuel quantity. SOLUTION: In the method of controlling fuel injection of the vehicular internal combustion engine, an intake air flow AIRMEAS and an exhaust gas quantityλUEGO estimate the fuel quantity QEST actually injected into the internal combustion engine 1, closed loop control is performed, and the estimated fuel quantity QEST is substantially equalized with a nominal fuel quantity QLOAD calculated to meet user requirements. More specifically, a difference between the nominal fuel quantity QLOAD and the estimated fuel quantity QEST is used to calculate a correction factor by which to correct the nominal fuel quantity QLOAD.
