PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water sealing material surely fixed to a segment and not moving from a disposed position. SOLUTION: This water sealing material is disposed around a connection hole provided around the peripheral surface of a tunnel for connecting a drive device in the tunnel for driving an earth retaining slide plate to the earth retaining slide plate disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the tunnel. The water sealing material comprises a water swelling rubber material with a projected part 20 disposed as an upper surface material 2, a steel plate disposed as an intermediate material 3, and a water swelling rubber material disposed as a lower surface material 4. The upper surface material 2, intermediate material 3, and lower surface material 4 are integrally connected to each other, and fixing holes 11 are provided through these three members.
