PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and apparatus for a single-dose package sheet, which accurately detects the position of the single-dose package sheet in a taken photograph to carry out a superior inspection. SOLUTION: The single-dose package sheet 12 is transferred by a conveyer 14, which has an inspection section 16 in the center thereof, the inspection section containing a CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) camera 18 for photographing the single-dose package sheet 12 and a lighting device 20 for lighting the single- dose package sheet 12. After passing through the inspection section 16, the single-dose package sheet 12 is classified into a good one and a defective one, then the good one is accumulated by an accumulating unit 22. Out of the photograph of the single-dose package sheet 12, an area where light intensity changes at every a prescribed period based on the projections/recessions of a sealed part is extracted, and the extracted area is determined to be the sealed part of the single-dose package sheet 12.
