PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling down prevention device for a simple tower for high lift work on a railroad capable of preventing loss of stability of the simple tower for high lift work due to moving of center of gravity caused by worker's moving on a work floor of the simple tower for high lift work, cant of a rail, and wind pressure and preventing the reduction of workability. SOLUTION: The falling down prevention device A is provided at a lower part position of the simple tower for high lift work to prevent falling down of the simple tower for high lift work constituted by a locking piece 3 fitted into a recessed part on a side face of the rail R and a locking piece energizing member 35 energizing the locking piece 3 in the direction in which it is fitted into the recessed part on the side face of the rail R and allowing the locking piece 3 to retract to a retraction position when the locking piece 3 comes into contact with an obstacle O such as a rail auxiliary member.
