PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip of light weight excellent in quality of appearance and the like, by enhancing dispersibility of a foaming agent to form a foamed rubber of high hardness of which the attaching base part is uniformly foamed. SOLUTION: In this weather strip 10 provided with the attaching base part 14 of a substantially U-shaped cross-section having a flange holding lip 20 in its inside, and a seal part 16 comprising sponge rubber projected from the attaching base part, the attaching base part comprises the foamed rubber of high hardness having specific gravity higher than that of the sponge rubber, and the foamed rubber of high hardness comprises a rubber composition in which the rubber-coated foaming agent is compounded in base rubber. A polyolefin having 100-110°C of fusing temperature is preferably compounded in the rubber composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
