Wire guiding device comprises a feeding unit (1) and a measuring unit (3) for measuring the wire speed directly on the welding wire (2). An Independent claim is also included for a process for guiding a welding wire in a wire welding machine. Preferably the measuring unit is arranged in the feeding direction after the feeding unit and after a tubing packet (4). The measuring unit is formed as an optical sensor having a light source and a CCD sensor, especially with an imaging lens. The light source is formed as an LED and the CCD sensor has a two-dimensional pixel array. |
