PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sentinel lymph node-detecting method by which the identification of a sentinel lymph node can be surely and quickly performed, and burden to a patient receiving a celiotomy, or the like, can be reduced as well. SOLUTION: In this sentinel lymph node-detecting method, an insertion unit 2 having a thin diameter which can be inserted into a biological internal cavity, an X-ray-detecting unit 6 which two-dimensionally detects X-ray at the distal end of the insertion unit 2, and an optical imaging unit 3 which picks up a visible beam image are used. The X-ray-detecting unit 6 and the optical imaging unit 3 are arranged in the longitudinal direction Z of the insertion unit 2, and also, are arranged to be close so that the same one direction may be observed. A radioactive tracer which resides in the sentinel lymph node 14 is detected by the X-ray-detecting unit 6. In this case, the X-ray detecting image frame detects a smaller range than an image frame picked up by the optical imaging unit 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
