PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of eliminating need for a user to move in front of a sink counter for using the dishwasher, and also capable of maintaining a storing space, workability, and good appearance of the sink counter when the dishwasher is installed on the sink counter in a face-to-face kitchen. SOLUTION: This dishwasher 8 has a raising/lowering means for raising/ lowering a dishwasher body 9 for putting in and out from an outer case 12, and is arranged and installed in a storing cabinet 7 over the sink counter 1. A front opening part 10 and a front lid 20 are provided on a front part of the dishwasher body 9, and a rear opening part 18 and a rear lid 24 are provided on a rear part of the dishwasher body 9, so that dishes can be put in/out from the front and the rear. Thereby, the dishwasher can be used in a comfortable posture without stooping, and water drops and soil are not spattered on a floor when dirty dishes are moved from the sink into the dishwasher.
