PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a power loss of a driving circuit and to detect an abnormality of a coil of a printer head wire-driving solenoid. SOLUTION: In the driving circuit for controlling to drive the printer head wire-driving solenoid coil S1 by a transistor Q1, a coil short-circuit detection voltage A taken out via a coil short-circuit detection resistance R2 from a front stage of a base current-controlled resistance R1 of the transistor Q1 is clamped by a clamp diode D1 onto a collector of the transistor Q1, whereby the coil short-circuit detection voltage A in an abnormal state becomes a high voltage value in comparison with that in a normal state.
