PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for butt-stud welding of reinforcing bars for welding the reinforcing bars of nearly same diameter to each other, and excellently welding the reinforcing bars even when they are nearly horizontal. SOLUTION: A grounding clamp having a conductor surface orthogonal to an existing reinforcing bar is attachably/detachably fitted around an end part of the existing reinforcing bar, and a ferrule having a fitting hole capable of passing the existing reinforcing bar and a stud reinforcing bar therethrough on both ends and a space for storing molten metal inside thereof is fitted to an end of the existing reinforcing bar, or to a tip part of the stud reinforcing bar filled in a stud welding gun. The tip of the stud reinforcing bar is brought into contact with an end face of the existing reinforcing bar, the ferrule is pressed against the conductor surface, and the stud welding is performed in such a state.
