PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a relief printing method and a relief printing apparatus have a high productivity but a large consumption of oriented film varnish, the mixing with a contaminant from letterpress is generated and too much time is required for the correspondence to many kinds while an ink jet printing method is expensive and a liquid restricted in surface tension and viscosity is dripped from a discharge port like the oriented film varnish. SOLUTION: In a liquid discharge head, the ejection of liquids from two or more of discharge ports of the liquid discharge head having a large number of the discharge ports is controlled by one of discharge drive elements and the discharge ports have two or more of shapes or sizes. The discharge ports having different calibers are combined and the discharge ports having a caliber smaller than that of the discharge ports provided to the central part of the head are provided to the end parts of the head.
