A description is given of a process which serves to interrupt the gas throughflow in a buried pipeline. By extraction of soil by suction, a hole, which has a magnitude of approximately 15 cm and reaches to the top of the pipeline, is produced in the soil. A quick-setting mixture is injected through a hole, having a magnitude of 5 mm, which has been made in the pipeline. <IMAGE>
