PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral type fluid separation membrane element to prevent an adhesive tape laminated on the folded end of a two folded semipermeable membrane form peeling off, and by which a stable separation performance is obtained. SOLUTION: The spiral type fluid separation membrane element forms a separation membrane unit comprising the two folded semipermeable membrane, a raw liquid passage material, and a permeated fluid passage material, along a liquid collecting pipe. The folded end of the two folded semipermeable membrane is protected by the adhesive tape having adhesive strength within the range of 6-20 N/cm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
