METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SOLUBILIZING ORGANIC SOLID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for solubilizing an organic solid with which the organic solid can be efficiently solubilized at a low cost and a treating liquid can be restrained from being colored. SOLUTION: This organic solid solubilizing method comprises a step to heat a water medium 1 containing the organic solid to the temperature which is≥100°C and lower than the critical temperature of the medium 1 in an airtight vessel and keep the heated medium 1 under the pressure that the medium 1 is kept in a liquid phase. The organic solid is solubilized under such temperature and pressure conditions by applying a DC current 12 to the medium 1 by the half or smaller than the half of the quantity of electricity required for generating oxygen of the amount equivalent to the chemical oxygen demand that the medium 1 before it is solubilized has by electrolysis of water. This organic solid solubilizing method can be used after adding an acid, an alkali or an electrolyte to the medium 1 containing the organic solid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
