<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner ensuring a uniform distribution of the quantity of electric charges and excellent in electrostatic chargeability as a toner of a small particle diameter usable for forming a high definition image. SOLUTION: In this toner contg. a pigment or dye type colorant and an electric charge controlling agent dispersed in a resin binder, the max. particle diameter of >=90% by number of particles of the colorant is in the range of 0.03-0.2μm in the case of the pigment type colorant and in the range of 0.01-0.1μm in the case of the dye type colorant and the max. particle diameter of >=90% by number of particles of the electric charge controlling agent is in the range of 0.01-0.17μm.</p> |
