PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet recording unit capable of simply and certainly connecting an ink jet recording head to an ink tank to certainly and hermetically close ink passages. CONSTITUTION: A connection elastic member 22 is provided to the connection part of a recording head 21 and an ink tank 1. The connection elastic member 22 has an almost funnel-shaped part 23 and a part thereof is inwardly bent to form a bent part 24. When the ink tank 1 is mounted, the peripheral surface of the joint port 11 of the ink tank 1 comes into contact with the bent part 24 to hermetically close ink passages. The shape of the elastic member 22 is stabilized by the bent part 24 and no turning-over is generated at the time of the contact with the surface of the ink tank 1 and the ink passages are well hermetically closed and the leakage of ink or the penetration of air can be prevented. |
