PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the degree of freedom in the shape of a stepped molded product and to shorten a molding cycle. SOLUTION: A mold device is used to mold a molded product 16 equipped with a stepped part 44 on a side wall 42. The device has a cavity 13, a core 58 disposed advanceably and retractably and forming a cavity space between the cavity 13 and the core 58 when a mold clamped, and a separator 24 disposed advanceably and retractably relative to the core 58, made to advance when the mold opened and separates the molded product 16 from the core 58. The core 58 has a slit formed for separating the stepped part 44 of the molded product 16 from the core 58. Even in the case of a deep step level difference and a wide step at the stepped part 44, and also the small thickness of the molded product 16, the slit formed in the core 58 prevents the stepped part 44 from buckling by the extrusion of the separator 24.
